OPEN AUDITIONS FOR 2026-2027 SEASON
Sunday, August 9 and Monday, August 11, 2026 for youth and adults
AUDITION GUIDELINES:
- Actors must make an appointment on line at signup genius.com or by calling ext 222. (If the box office is too busy to take the call, they caller can be directed to ext. 236)
- Actors must prepare (memorize) a monologue no more than 2 minutes long.
- Actors must bring a recent photo to leave with us.
- Actors must arrive 15 minutes prior to audition appointment to fill out paperwork.
- Actors should bring resumes if they have them, but resumes are not mandatory.
- Actors may prepare up to 60 seconds of any song.
- New Stage will provide CD player, ipod deck and a keyboard.
- Singers may bring their own accompanist.
- New Stage will not provide an accompanist.
- Actors choosing to sing must have accompaniment in the form of cd, ipod, or piano player accompanist.
- Actors are strongly discouraged from singing a cappella.
- Actors will have a maximum of 3 minutes for audition. Auditions will be timed and the time limit will be adhered to.
This audition will be a general audition for shows in our 2026-2027 season. Directors will hold callbacks at a later date.
You will be able to sign up for an audition beginning July 6, 2026.
Anyone wishing to audition for MRS. CHRISTIE and SLIPPIN’ THROUGH THE CRACKS: THE BOBBY RUSH MUSICAL needs to submit a photo and resume to submissions@newstagetheatre.com asap and no later than Monday, June 29.
OPEN AUDITION DATES AND TIMES
· Sunday, August 9 for adults 2:00 – 4:00 and 4:00 – 6:00 pm and Monday, August 10 1:00 – 3:30 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm
· Sunday, August 9 4:00 – 6:00 pm and Monday, August 10 for ages 6 through 17; 3:30 – 5:50 pm
REGISTRATION DEADLINES
· Registration for the auditions will open on July 6 for all auditions
· The registration deadline for all auditions is Thursday, August 6 at 5:00 pm
