{NST Play Reading} Love Be Like by Clinnesha Dillon Sibley
October 29, 2020 @ 7 p.m.

New Stage Theatre continues Thursday Nights Virtual Plays, Conversations, & Cocktails with a play reading of Love Be Like by Clinnesha Dillon Sibley. It’s 2015, the world is falling, hate crimes are increasing, and everyone’s questioning religion; but when nine churchgoers are targeted and murdered in a mass shooting during a prayer service in Charleston, South Carolina, a traumatized African-American couple is forced to reckon with faith, fear, and forgiveness in the digital age.

Sibley will be joining the company for a post reading discussion. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments through the chat feature. The virtual series continues New Stage’s mission to develop original, and Mississippi themed work, and enables the theatre to keep employing artists.
